   To ease the pain

    Of the sword that cuts

     So deep within

      His word is sharper

       Than the sword of man!


Can you hear and feel

 I tremble in Him

  His hand is heavy

   Holding the future firm

    Of such sure promises

     Of such grace secure

      So heed the call

       And count the cost

         He paid the price

          For your soul’s worth

           His blood so pure

            His cross now ours

             No excuse He hears

              Only, yes Lord,

I come!

Heed the Call

I am not very far off,

 nearer than you might perceive
  always praying earnestly
   you will be able to listen
     and I will be able to share!

Be guided by God’s principals
 taken from the wise
  and guard yourself from wisdom
   full of worldly compromise!

When you doubt and lack assurance
 don’t move forward as in the past
  you’ll only waste your time and labor
   for some fruit that will not last!

He calls, “Come away my beloved”
 His hand’s upon the latch
  Sometimes we slumber sleeping
   His voice we do not catch!

Oh so many occupations
 that our heart cannot retain
  the seed of Christ implanted
   on soil yet unprepared

We have our Christian occupations
 Church and Sunday school
  but down deep inside within us
   is a cry for something more

One life we have to give Him
 His grace so full and free
  How can we still deny Him
   when so sure that He has called

Do we seek His peace so perfect
 yet neglect His higher call
  We have so many excuses
    not one accepted of them all!

When we stand in His very presence
 our life an open book
  Were there too many compromises
   or did we forsake all for Him

He gave us all we asked for
 He only asked that in return
  a life of holy dedication
   forsaking all for Him!

So don't waste another moment
 Rise up and heed the call
  Still time to make the changes
   within you He'll complete them all!

May He keep you

May He keep you
           in His righteousness
           and increase you in His peace
           and give you vision In Christ
     that you may know His fruitfulness and fullness!


Another unsent letter
           added to the pile
     Words unheard linger
             from a heart full of expression


The utterance hindered
           by some invented fear
     of speaking too much
             but not saying enough


My eardrums quiet, unmoving
           No sound waves pass its door
     I waited at the lattice
             but no one opened the latch


So I turned away once more
           waiting for another time
     Hope deferred makes the heart ache
             but the desired expectation when it comes, a tree of life!


Seek ye first the kingdom of God
           and His righteousness
     then all the other things
             will be added unto you!

Dear Brother and Sister,



May God who is constant

   in His care for you

      reveal Himself to you

         in His fullness

           through Christ Jesus!



I remember when I first met you

   How I wrote poems and rhymes

       Words from him who loves us so

            Whose care is with compassion



Now time has past, even days and years

   But the time ahead’s important

      In it hope for the future holds

         great promise for those who embrace it



Great trials to face and overcome

   The tribulation may be at hand

      But God has given a hedge around

         all those who trust His mercy. 9-30-06

Dear Jesus,



To my Lord and Savior,

  my beloved

    and the lover of my soul

      to thee I cry!



Let my cry come unto thee

  Hear the voice of my sighing

    Let not my soul perish

      Until my course is complete!


Then I will rejoice

  in a time of rejoicing

    with all your saints
 
      in glory!


How I am perplexed

  I know not but that you love me

    that your grace is always sufficient
 
      I hope in you and trust your care!
  


Now let me rest in hope

  of finishing all you have for me

    Your promises are exceedingly great

      In awe I hear your voice and promises!


Lead me into all your truth

  Lead me to do your perfect will

    Help me be faithful in all your ways

      Guide me by your Holy Spirit


How grand are your purposes

  How excellent all your works

    You choose the humble

      to labor in your house

        to him you give the humble tasks!


Not to the proud

  Not to the insolent

    do you entrust your name

      the authority on high

        the excellence of the Lord!


But to your sons

  do you choose

    to entrust the kingdom

      the power and the glory


To the humble who serve you in truth

  to them alone, to them alone

    do you give this great privilege

      to rule and reign with you forever

El Amor que me Sirve, Mas y Mas



De todo te amo,

  en todo te quiero,

    pensando de ti,

      te quiero mas,

        sí mas y mas y mas.



Andando del campo,

  o en el tal cual pueblo,

    pasando el tiempo,

      pienso de ti

        porque te quiero, mas y mas


En todos los dia,

  no te olvido,

    así tan profundo

      el amor de mi alma

        creciendo, mas y mas


No tengo momentos

  tan importante

    que lleva me mente

      afuera de los sueños

        de ti, mas y mas


No hay mujer tan bonita

  que quita me la vida

    que tengo en ti

Merry Christmas 2007



A Merry, Merry Christmas

  and a very prosperous New Year

    to all my friends and family

      to those I love so dear!


Now those brand new challenges

  we all will face this year

    some so hard and difficult

      we'll face them with God's fear!


We'll grow more in the Spirit

  face mountains to overcome

    the King of Glory with us

      to guide and lead us on!


To face the daily testing’s

  the trials in life we see

    to make us strong, victorious

      He's the answer to all our needs!

One Day



A time and a purpose, everything has

   A place do be finished, just as it began

So accidents happen, pure chance has its day

   But God on His throne rules ever and always


Once I was challenged by life’s curious paths

   More as an observer than a maker of plans

I saw justice forgotten by the judgments man made

   And mercy ignored to them it was due


What baffles the mind of those who seek peace

   Is that power is often in the hands of the cruel

And those that love good over unjust gain

   Sit on the sidelines watching the world go in flames


Now righteousness waits and will rule in her day

   When inequity is judged and falls before truth

When ungodly deeds will cease to be seen

   And the saints rule in power with a rod of iron!

Stand and Be Strong



Now it is the time to stand and be strong

  Uprightness is valued by those who want good

    And those that hate evil and every wicked scheme

      Will find the grace to withstand and expose evil plans


Let the watchmen who vigils on the wall of truth

  With diligence guard the gates of his mouth

    For words have power to both to harm and to heal

      And once spoken no word can be take back again


Like arrows flying from the lips off the tongue

  Pierce the shields of superficial thoughts

    Cut deeply pass the veil of the heart

      With balm can minister, settings captives free


With power to bind the dark powers that be

  Crushing the black nights who rule in the shadows of death

    Having balm to restore the bruised, broken soul

      And watch God bring peace where once confusion ruled


This privilege God gives to His saintly ones

  Who walk in uprightness and hold fast the truth

    Who have passed the test of faith holding fast

      To the pure paths of righteousness resisting all lust


Stand up holy warrior who stands before God

  Holy hands lifted up and mouths full of praise

    Sing the new song to His highest anthems raise

      With voices in harmony to Him glory bring!

 

Light and Darkness



What could it be that keeps us apart?

It is not space and time, for that only separates the bodies

But the union that Jesus has call us to is spiritual

And that keeps people apart who live in the same house!



There is no fellowship between light and darkness

So if you walk in darkness you cannot comprehend the light

Neither can it walk with you even if you are in the same house

Only in Christ can one know the light and walk in it! It’s free!

Just Give Him a Little

Not much to say today my friend

   The words don’t seem to come

My heart would like to write a few

   But the Lord has to be the One


Who gives me words to edify

   To soothe the needy soul

That hurts from being away from Him

   Who is the lover of our soul


So sometimes I give my fingers

   To the keyboard as I write

And HE responds with words sublime

   To minister His grace


And though I start with nothing much

   He gives me as I go

Some words of truth and righteousness

   To bless the reading soul!

Man, the creator?



Can’t improve on the Lord’s perfect work

No matter how hard one tries

Make a mixture of sub atomic slush

Stir it a time or two

Incubate it for a while, heat it to a tea

Watch it grow into a mass

Oh creator of a glob

Your generous gift is now put to the test

For your creation has brewed nothing but a colossal mess!

The Choice is Yours


The fullness of the Lord Jesus Christ

 To walk in it, to be in it, this is the higher call

  To put away every foreign and worthless endeavor

   To overcome every vain way! Are you captive?


Are you captive to the vanities of mind and soul?

 Your thoughts wondering aimlessly, uncontrolled

  Your words without godly purpose, nonsense filled

   Where is the fullness of Christ in your life?


To this you have been called, to walk in his fullness!

 You only have one vessel, one life to live

  And into your vessel you put what you desire

   One thing or another as one fills his stomach’s hunger


And what is your hunger, for more of the same vain things

 Are do you hunger for more of Him and for his bread

  It is from heaven, why eat that which cannot satisfy

   Seek to be filled with that which satisfies forever


Fill a glass with precious diamonds to the top

 Fill it full with the very costly gems from the mines below

  Now wait until you are thirsty, very thirsty

   Then fill your glass with water to the brim and drink!


So is your thirst now satisfied with the glass you filled

 Was there much room for the water you truly needed

  Or was your vessel filled with the precious gems you did not need

   Have it your way but you only have one life to fill and fulfill


Have your vain gems in life or fill it with His divine life, full

 But if you fill it half full with the gems, still with Him is lacking

  The fullness you can have if you empty yourself of vanity

   The choice is to each, chose wisely, only one life to live!
