Look up!

If your eyes are always looking down
Your gaze ever on the ground
You hope so dimed by lack of faith
Your mind confused by twisted thoughts

Not from beneath comes the light of day
But from above does one gain grace
So the little things added one by one
Became so heavy you stumble on

The heavy weight is too much to bear
but they are the things you put in the bag
the vanities of life you so enjoyed
have become your albatross it seems

So what now, oh wearied friend
your back is bent from the extra junk
that fills the bag you carry on
you know not why but still it’s yours

Your every step has slowed with age
Your gate once swift now less than a trot
more like a crawl filled with vain thoughts
fears of the night, my friend, you are lost

How long before you look above
There is the light for your dark path
You need a hand from heavens place
an outstretched arms so full of grace

Vain is man’s help, just like one’s self
All men need grace to turn around
before there’s no more breath to breath
And the grim reaper has another guest

For there is more hope for a living dog
than for a dead lion however strong
For hope is too the living soul
that humbly sees his eternal need

For the long bow bends when one is strong
but in the end one hopes for more
than a youthful vigor and a life in store
of vanities worth nothing more than nothing

For then one sees only years ahead
full of rich pasture and wealth to make
Instead you need to examine your goals
eternal value is what comes from above

Vanities will soon come to an end
valued nothing here and nothing above
But the true riches are hidden for us
if we turn to Him and in Him put our trust

For in His is grace and mercy and power
to overcome the grave and death's hold,
to enter new life with the fullness of hope
Wake up while there's time to turn, turn, turn!

Ugh

Ugh, you are really not a word
You are just an shoulder shrugging, ugh
No more no less but you have a place
Just not too much punch in your utterance

We really need to hear more from you
Like, what do you think of yourself
    Your linguistic roots please
After all where are you really from?

Yeah, I am picking on you, you bet I am
  You have escaped scrutiny, forever
Hiding yourself in such subtle utterance
But you are not getting off so easy now

I am pushing your envelope but it's ok
No harm intended, nothing against you
Just a need to know, natural curiosity
Your neutral self, who, in non sexist English

Well, you don't say much, just a syllable
So you think you can escape examination
No, no, no for the light is on you, brightly
We shall know your roots and your fruit

If you are of God then welcome to language
But if you are vile or vain we will purge you
Sounds tough but still you would have to go
No room for you in Christ, if you are so vain

But if you are of God you are welcome
For every ugh must be spoken in love
And account will be given on day
For every ugh spoken in vain!

Even Though

Even though I have nothing,
I see enough,
Because...I have faith!

Even though I own everything,
I see nothing,
Because...He is Lord of All!

Even though I have hope
I see by faith,
Because...without faith I have nothing!

Enter In

Come to the waters and drink freely,
Oh lovers!

Come to the King, Jesus Christ,
Lord of glory!

Ask boldly for His Spirit to fill you,
so freely!

For you are the one who limits
His presence!

AUNQUE

Aunque no tengo nada, veo algo
porque...tengo fe!

Aunque tenga todo, veo nada
porque...todo es para EL!

Aunque tengo esperanza, veo por fe
porque...sin fe no tengo nada!
